Thanks All Around
We had a great event at Seattle Mini Maker Faire. Big thanks to mentors Jonathan, Chris, and Sam, and teen mentors Brandon and Kale for helping staff our table and talk to hundreds and hundreds of people about CoderDojo. Thanks also to the 10 brave bananas who sacrificed themselves for our ever-popular Banana Piano.
Big props to mentor Unmesh for his first time leading a room, taking on the Scratch Room this past Saturday. He’ll be leading a 5-week workshop delving into making a desktop app with Java, starting October 24th.
Thanks to teen mentor Connor, who will be teaching week 3 of the Minecraft workshop while Greg is out of town on business.
If you haven’t signed the big Thank You card for Amazon for hosting us, we’ll have it out at the next couple of Dojos and we’ll be presenting it to them at our October 17th meetup.
Thanks to Avalara, who have made it possible for Greg to do double-duty as an ambassador for both them and Seattle CoderDojo around the city for the past 5 months.
If we didn’t thank a volunteer or sponsor by name, it was not intended as a slight. We thank you in our hearts, and if you keep stepping up like you do, we’ll thank you in print sooner or later. 🙂
And thanks to all our Dojo families for coming out, for making donations, for telling your friends about CoderDojo… and for reading this far. 🙂
