MAKER FAIRE THIS WEEKEND: LAST CALL
Right now we have no one but Greg booked to work our table at Seattle Mini Maker Faire on Sunday. All you need to be able to do is talk about why Seattle CoderDojo is a cool thing to bring your kid to or volunteer with. You don’t have to be a coder. Email Greg at info@seattlecoderdojo.com to volunteer for the morning (9:00 – 1:30) or afternoon (1:30 – 6) shift. There’s also an 11:00-3:00 “reliever” shift. on either day that would be nice to fill, but isn’t crucial.
If you don’t have 4ish hours to donate, but you’re planning to visit the faire because it’s a really cool thing, stop by our table and hang out for a bit. Be social proof of how cool we are. We’ll be in the Learning Lab on the first floor across from the POP lounge.

Email Greg at info@seattlecoderdojo.com to volunteer.
Tweet Monkey Maker Workshop on 10/10
Note: This workshop costs $150 to cover equipment. It is not a CoderDojo program, but the people putting it on have been supporters of CoderDojo and we’re showing them some support back by announcing their project.
There’s a maker workshop on October 10th at UW’s Startup Hall where participants will build a cymbal clanging monkey that monitors Twitter and clangs its cymbals when specific hashtags are tweeted.
It’s not free, but if you can afford it, it will be a lot of fun and you’ll go home with a very cool project. You can get more details and tickets at http://www.meetup.com/DeviceJam/events/224351331/.
