Seattle CoderDojo News – October 18th

Posted on October 18, 2016October 30, 2016 by Greg Bulmash

Tickets for this Saturday

There’s no windstorm due this Saturday, so get your tickets and come on down (or up, or over).

It’s the last week of the “Build a Website” room. We won’t be retiring the curriculum, but we’ll be folding it into the Developer Room starting in November. That leaves the question of what to do in that room in November. Is there something your child has been wanting to learn? Drop us a note at info@seattlecoderdojo.com if there’s something you’d like taught.

Also, no Dojo on Saturday the 29th. We’ll be back on November 5th.

Kids, Coding, Christmas… and Crowdsourcing

A few parents have been asking for a Christmas buying guide. We don’t have the time to write up 20-30 suggestions… but you do.

Most of you can name at least one piece of tech (hardware or software) that you bought for your child in the last year and you’d recommend to other parents. Email your recommendation to info@seattlecoderdojo.com with the name of the product, a link to it on the web, and a paragraph about why you recommend it. If we can get 20-30 good suggestions, we just have to compile them into a web page and we’ve got a guide.
