NO DOJO THIS WEEKEND
Remember, folks, we’re off for Thanksgiving this weekend. See you all on December 6th.

Get your December 6th tickets – It’s our last regular Dojo of the year.
Seattle CoderDojo Presents Hour of Code – A great way to introduce kids to coding. We’ll be offering a curated selection of hour-long exercises from Code.org and their partners.
Printable Hour of Code Flyer – Print it and hang it on your office door, office/church/coffeehouse bulletin board, wherever you think people will see it. We’ve got nearly double the room compared to a normal CoderDojo. It’s going to be big, boisterous, and fun.
Supporting startups & our Dojo parents
Our friends at StepNW have been working on a platform for connecting startups and tech talent, particularly talent that has been displaced in recent layoffs.
They’re having a “First Step to your Next Step” event at the Impact Hub in SoDo on December 10th.
Maybe you haven’t considered working for a startup because you think you’ll have to give up stability, work/life balance, decent benefits, etc. This event is to help you meet actual local startups, learn about their culture, and see if joining a startup might actually be for you.
StepNW is a non-profit, volunteer outfit, created to help bring startups and tech talent together.
We need some A/V volunteers
Next year we want to start videotaping one or more of our classrooms on a regular basis. We need some volunteers who can take charge of a program to get the classes shot, edited, and posted to YouTube. If you’ve got the skills and/or equipment, please drop a line to info@seattlecoderdojo.com
