While we don’t have a whole bunch of free stuff to give away (though if you’d like to bring or sponsor freebies, you can mail Greg), it’s still going to be our regular rollicking good time.

Python class and more

Fourteen parents expressed interest for about 20 kids for a beginning Python sequence taught by mentor Chris Taylor, so it’s going to happen. Chris and Greg need to plan the exact start date and allocate space. More details coming soon. You no longer need to express interest. Once it’s scheduled, we’ll announce the sign-up here.

Parents ask now and then: “what about some help for parents who want to learn?” Would anyone be interested in a NodeSchool study group in one of the conference rooms? NodeSchool is a great self-paced study method for teaching yourself node.js, which is used for creating server-side applications in JavaScript. If you’re interested in this idea, mail Greg. Please note that this would only be for Dojo parents who are coming with their children and limited to 10-12 people. We’re not opening up a new branch for adults, just trying to add some value for parents who already attend with their children.
