September 10th Tickets with Bitsbox Room
Join us for the Hour of Code Room, the Scratch Room, the Developers Room, and a special room hosted by Bitsbox, a platform for teaching kids to code. They’ve got lots of cool free activities for beginners, so we’d love to have some of our newer kids try it out and put it through its paces.

Three Years of Seattle CoderDojo!
Join us to celebrate the third anniversary of our first meetup (first Saturday after school started, 2013). We’ll have NEW STICKERS and a NEW TEMPORARY TATTOO… and maybe some cookies.
2017: DAWN OF THE MAKER ROOM!
We’ve got some big plans to supercharge Seattle CoderDojo in the new year, including a brand new maker room. You may have heard we won four Kano computing kits from CoderDojo, but that’s just the beginning. Mentor Jad is leading the charge to put together a collection of tutorials and hardware to do this up right.
He’ll be working in September with our volunteers to put together a selection of great tutorials and a wishlist of hardware so we can have literally dozens of kids working on hardware hacking EVERY SINGLE DOJO IN 2017. We’ll be holding a fundraiser to stock the hardware room in October once the wishlist is complete.
Special thanks to teen volunteers Caroline and Kale, who were the first ones to sign on as Maker Room mentors.
SPECIAL EVENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
We will have tables at Seattle Mini Maker Faire at EMP in September and GeekGirlCon at Washington State Convention Center in October. We need volunteers to help staff the tables and represent Seattle CoderDojo to hundreds and hundreds of visitors to those events over three days.
We have 6 half-day shifts and are looking for two volunteers per shift. If you’re eager, you can volunteer for more than one.
