Seattle CoderDojo News – August 28

Tickets for “Sprint 5” Are Available

We’re trying something new and ticketing all 5 weeks of a session starting at the beginning. So whether you want to attend on September 9, 16, 23, 30, October 7, all 5, or a select few, you can get your tickets now. We’re sorry, but there is no option to ticket all 5 weeks at once. We had to choose either all 5 at once or each individually.

Seattle CoderDojo is moving to Sundays

We ran a survey about whether to move the time and day of Seattle CoderDojo’s meetups. With 50 families and volunteers participating, “either works” won with a huge margin with Sunday coming in a distant second. So… of those expressing a preference… Sunday won.

On the other hand, mornings beat out afternoons by an even bigger margin. To test out response for Sunday morning, we’re going to run October 21st on a Sunday morning. We’ll see how it works.

Are you going to Seattle Mini Maker Faire?

They changed the name of EMP to MoPOP, but the name of Seattle Mini Maker Faire remains the same.

On the weekend of September 16th, Seattle CoderDojo will be joining Bellevue CoderDojo and West Sound CoderDojo in a CoderDojo team-up table. Upside and possibly downside is that we need fewer volunteers to help us staff the table. But if you’d like to pick up a 4.5 hour shift that includes an hour to go browse the faire, email Greg with your preference of day and morning or afternoon. Parent/ninja pairs encouraged.
