HELP YOUR KID LEARN TO CODE… FOR FREE!
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!
NO MEMBERSHIP OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!
Seattle CoderDojo is a free coding club for kids, powered by volunteers, donors, and sponsors. We help kids build projects, hold workshops, and work through online tutorials.
WHAT’S ON THIS WEEK?
Beginners & Developers:
We’ll be mixing the Beginner and Developer rooms (since they’re both more one-on-one mentoring) so we can make room for the 2D Game Art Workshop (which had a separate registration because it will go multiple sessions).
Scratch Room:
Scratch is a programming tool that lets kids create programs by combining different pieces that do things. No typing is required, no special software is needed, and after they’ve done a couple of the Hour of Code tutorials, they’ll be able to jump into this pretty easily. It does require Flash so iPads and Android tablets won’t work.
